Annual care plans
Clear terms before an annual charge.
These terms explain what Hita’s annual cleaning and preventive-care plans include, how they renew, and how to cancel.
Effective August 8, 2026 · Version plan_terms_2026_08_v1.
Plan eligibility
Published online pricing applies to standard-access residential wall-mounted ductless heat pumps at an address Hita is able to serve. The customer must accurately report indoor and outdoor unit counts and equipment type. Ceiling cassettes, floor consoles, ducted equipment, unsafe or unusually high access, restoration-level buildup, and smoke, grease, pest, or microbial remediation require separate review and are not eligible for immediate online enrollment.
If Hita determines after checkout that the address or equipment is not eligible, Hita will cancel the enrollment and refund the plan payment. No service appointment is promised until Hita confirms the enrollment and scheduling details.
Annual Cleaning Plan
Each paid 12-month term includes one scheduled visit for the equipment quantity purchased. Standard scope includes cleaning washable filters, cover and louvers, evaporator coil, accessible blower wheel, drain pan and condensate path, and accessible outdoor coil, followed by a basic operation and temperature check.
Maine Heat Pump Care Plan
Each paid 12-month term includes one scheduled visit for the equipment quantity purchased. It includes the Annual Cleaning Plan scope plus operating-mode and control checks, temperature and airflow checks, condensate inspection, an accessible electrical inspection by a qualified technician, an outdoor mounting and clearance review, a visible line-set and insulation review, and written findings.
What is not included
Plans do not include repairs, replacement parts, refrigerant, leak testing or repair, after-hours or emergency service, microbial remediation, code certification, warranty certification, or work outside the purchased equipment quantity. Additional work requires the customer’s approval and may be quoted separately. A plan is preventive service, not repair insurance or an emergency-response contract.
Billing and automatic renewal
The exact annual total is shown in Stripe Checkout before payment. The plan renews automatically every 12 months using the payment method on file until canceled. Each successful annual payment purchases one visit for that new 12-month term. Stripe processes payment-card information; Hita does not receive or store full card numbers.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel future automatic renewal at any time through Stripe’s billing portal or by contacting Hita. Cancellation stops the next annual charge and does not undo a completed visit.
If you cancel the current term before its included visit begins, Hita will refund the current-term plan payment. After the included visit has begun or been completed, the current-term payment is nonrefundable except where required by law. Hita will also refund a payment if Hita determines it cannot provide the purchased plan at the submitted address or equipment.
Scheduling and customer responsibilities
Hita and the customer arrange the included visit after enrollment. The customer must provide safe access to the equipment, disclose known hazards or unusual contamination, and provide reasonable notice if the appointment needs to change. Additional scheduling conditions, if needed, will be disclosed before an appointment is confirmed.
Changes and contact
Hita may update these terms for future purchases or renewals. The version accepted at checkout is retained with the enrollment record. Questions or cancellation requests can be sent to heatpumps088@gmail.com or made by calling (207) 231-8898.
These terms are governed by applicable Maine and federal law. Nothing in them limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
